**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all machinery and equipment to ensure maximum productivity with minimal downtime. This role also includes building maintenance and repair as necessary.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow the Preventative Maintenance Program.
+ Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose repair issues with plant equipment.
+ Order parts as necessary and maintain inventory of vital parts.
+ Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
+ Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment per manufacturers' specifications.
+ Record machine maintenance activities and repairs.
+ Set up and operate machines, making necessary adjustments to regulate operation.
+ Inspect or test damaged machine parts and advise supervisors of defective parts and repair needs.
+ Start machines and observe mechanical operation to detect problems.
+ Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines and equipment according to specified procedures.
+ Maintain tools and supplies to ensure they are in good operating order.
+ Collaborate with coworkers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
+ Train new and existing employees.
+ Communicate professionally and positively with coworkers, management, and other departments.
+ Communicate with the General Manager about non-typical repairs in a timely manner.
+ Regular and reliable attendance.
+ May be required to support second shift operations and work in adverse weather conditions or at heights.
+ Perform all other duties as necessary.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency with hand tools and small tools.
+ Experience as a maintenance technician.
+ Knowledge of mechanical systems.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance.
+ Understanding of light industrial equipment.
+ Skill in using power tools.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
+ Capacity to train new and existing employees.
+ Physical mobility to stretch, bend, squat, and lift.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a toasting room that can become hot in the summer and cool in the winter. It features an open warehouse environment with multiple fires used for softening wood on barrels. The production team consists of about 14 people, fostering interaction and teamwork. The environment can be loud and requires physical activity, including moving barrels weighing 110 lbs. Workers are assigned stations and duties, which may change daily, and shifts run from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Breaks are provided at 7 AM, 9 AM, and 11:15 AM to ensure ample rest.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Napa, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $39.00/hr.
