Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, provides counseling and/or psychotherapy, coordinates patient discharge planning, complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities, and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within Outpatient Social Work and the Department of Care Management.
Join the dynamic transplant social work team at Mayo Clinic in Florida. In this position you will complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments, create individual transplant plans with patients and families and provide counseling and education throughout the transplant episode of care.
QualificationsRequires a Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) degree from an accredited social work program.Candidates must have an advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy. Must have knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis' and chronic disease. Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources. Must also have psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and in written form.Licensure (LCSW) to practice independently at the clinical level as required by applicable state requirements.
Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail $70,116 - $105,289 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
